BETU students won second prize at the contest "Programming and designing self-propelled model vehicles"

On the morning of August 29, 2023, two teams comprising 10 students from the Faculty of Automotive Technology and Engineering (FATE) at Binh Duong Economics and Technology University (BETU), representing disciplines such as Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Automotive Technology, competed in the “Programming and Designing Autonomous Model Vehicles” contest, hosted by the Faculty of Mechanical-Electrical Engineering and Computing at Van Lang University.

In his opening speech, PhD. Truong Quoc Tri emphasized: “Developing an autonomous vehicle system is both a challenge and an innovative endeavor, requiring the integration of various fields such as sensor technology, artificial intelligence, data processing, and more. This competition serves as an academic platform, fostering creativity and scientific research enthusiasm while enabling students to stay abreast of the rapid advancements in modern science and technology during the era of artificial intelligence and the 4.0 technological revolution."

Interdisciplinary students from BETU’s Faculty of Engineering and Technology are operating their competition entries

First-year student Huynh Ngoc Thoai Nam, from the Automotive Technology program at BETU, who received the consolation prize, reflected: “My team and I dedicated time to studying the guidance provided by our lecturers to develop our project for this competition. I find this contest to be profoundly meaningful as it motivates me to pursue scientific research passionately and stay aligned with modern technological advancements.”

BETU students proudly achieved second place and a consolation prize in the “Programming and Designing Autonomous Model Vehicles” contest

Earlier, on August 26, 2023, the teams participating in the contest underwent training sessions and conducted trial runs of their projects at Van Lang University. Through relentless efforts and a spirit of solidarity, BETU’s two teams secured both second place and a consolation prize in the competition.

The contest, organized by the Faculty of Mechanical-Electrical Engineering and Computing at Van Lang University, highlighted the meaningful collaboration between member institutions within the Van Lang Education Group. This significant milestone demonstrates the advancement of science and technology, opening up new opportunities for talented students from both universities.
