On the morning of May 16, 2023, the Faculty of Technology and Engineering at Binh Dương Economics and Technology University (BETU) organized a solar-powered model car design competition, featuring the participation of seven teams.

Each team was provided with a solar panel to design and build a solar-powered car. The teams were divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the championship round. The remaining teams competed for consolation prizes.
In the end, the "S1mple" team secured first place, while the "Multiverse" team claimed second place. Additionally, the organizers presented four special awards to the teams "Teddie," "Phép Màu," "3B," and "Nhóm 7" for categories such as creativity, best car design, and the most handcrafted car.

Commenting on the significance of the competition, Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyễn Phụ Thượng Lưu, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering at BETU and Head of the Competition’s Organizing Committee, remarked: “The competition serves as a means for students to gain a deeper understanding of the practical applications of solar panel technology. Through this event, students have the opportunity to learn, practice, and engage with real-world challenges. More importantly, it allows them to accumulate multidisciplinary expertise, apply classroom knowledge effectively, and acquire valuable insights into the field of technology and engineering.”
