On the morning of December 22, the Faculty of Automotives Technology and Engineering at Binh Dương Economics and Technology University (BETU) hosted the final round of the Model Car Design Competition using SolidWorks software. Nearly two months after its launch, the competition received 28 submissions from teams of students majoring in Automotive Technology and Engineering at BETU.
Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyễn Phụ Thượng Lưu, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering, Director of BETU’s Automotive Practice Center, and Head of the Organizing Committee, emphasized, “We greatly appreciate the designs submitted by the participating student teams. This competition serves as an opportunity for students to unleash their creativity, apply technology in design and manufacturing, and gain confidence in turning their design concepts into tangible products.”
With excitement and confidence, student Nguyễn Hoàng Duy Khang (class D23T03A) shared, “This competition provided us with a beneficial platform to acquire practical knowledge and understand the importance of design-support software.” Similarly, Nguyễn Công Trực (class D22T01A) expressed admiration for the EVAS team’s product, describing it as a stylish and eye-catching vehicle design.
In the final round, contestants presented their design concepts and models, covering aspects such as styling, functionality, and technology. During the model presentation segment, students had to provide detailed explanations of their designs, including structure, materials, and manufacturing processes.
At the conclusion of the competition, the Organizing Committee presented top awards to the teams:
- Team EVAS: Futuristic Car Design Awards, for their impressive design combining modernity and classic elements.
- Team Destroy: Inspirational Car Design Awards, for their inspiring vehicle concept.
- Team Arrow: Innovation Excellence Awards, for their groundbreaking design incorporating advanced technologies.
