On October 18, 2024, Binh Duong Economics and Technology University (BETU) officially announced the establishment of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology and the appointment of its management team.
The ceremony was attended by PhD. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - President; Mr. Phan Thanh Nhan, Secretary of the Party Committee; Associate Professor.PhD. Nguyen Quoc Y - Vice President, along with leaders, lecturers, and staff from various departments, faculties and centers.

During the event, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha emphasized the importance of training high-quality human resources for the automotive engineering industry. She reaffirmed BETU's commitment to investing in the development of the Faculty of Automotive Technology and Engineering (FATE) into a prestigious and high-quality educational institution

Mr. Nguyen Dang Thanh, Head of the Organization and Administration Department, announced the decision to establish Faculty of Automotive Technology and Engineering and appoint Associate Professor. PhD. Nguyen Phu Thuong Luu as Vice Dean in charge of the faculty.

In his acceptance speech, Associate Professor. PhD. Nguyen Phu Thuong Luu expressed his gratitude for the trust of the university's leadership. He pledged to work with the faculty team to build a professional and modern learning and research environment, contributing to the training of outstanding graduates in automotive engineering technology for the nation.
Since 2022, BETU has introduced new programs, including the Automotive Engineering Technology program under the Faculty of Automotive Technology and Engineering. From its inception, this program has been a highlight of the university, attracting a steadily increasing number of applicants each year.
In July 2023, BETU inaugurated the Automotive practice, diagnostic, repair and simulation, fully equipped with advanced machinery and equipment to meet the study, research, and practical training needs of students.
