On the morning of December 21, 2024, the Faculty of Automotive Technology and Engineering (FATE) of Binh Dương Economics and Technology University (BETU) participated in the Labor Conference for the 2024-2025 academic year. The conference took place in a democratic atmosphere, reflecting the solidarity and strong determination of all faculty, staff, and employees across the university.
Overview of the BETU Labor Conference for the 2024-2025 Academic Year
In her address at the conference, Associate Professor, PhD. Trần Thị Mỹ Diệu, Chairwoman of the BETU Council, acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the entire university community. She also shared her vision and commitment to achieving 10 strategic objectives for the development of BETU’s brand over the next five years, with the ultimate goal of establishing BETU as a prominent name in the Southeast Asian education landscape.

At the conference, PhD. Nguyễn Thị Thu Hà, Rector of BETU, delivered a comprehensive report summarizing the achievements and challenges of the 2023-2024 academic year. She also outlined the directions and objectives for the 2024-2025 academic year, providing an objective evaluation of the university’s performance while identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Concrete solutions were proposed to enhance the quality of education, scientific research, management, and other activities at the institution.

During the 2024-2025 Labor Conference, the Faculty of Automotive Technology and Engineering (FATE), along with other departments of BETU, engaged in open and constructive discussions on key issues in teaching, research, and training support. Notably, Associate Professor, PhD. Nguyễn Phụ Thượng raised questions on three critical topics: expanding the practical workshop to meet students’ growing needs, supporting faculty in achieving English proficiency at the B2 level, and addressing delays in internship placements despite long-standing proposals.
Responding to these issues, Associate Professor, PhD. Trần Thị Mỹ Diệu provided detailed answers, highlighting the challenges and feasible solutions for each matter. Regarding the expansion of the practical workshop, she emphasized that this is a complex task requiring meticulous surveys, facility upgrades, and completion of various procedural requirements. For improving English proficiency, she encouraged BETU faculty to enroll in B2-level English courses, such as those offered by Văn Lang University. Concerning the delays in internship placements, she stressed the importance of proactively reminding the relevant departments to ensure timely responses.
