On the morning of October 26, 2024, the Falcuty of Automotive Technology and Engineering (FATE) at Binh Duong Economics and Technology University (BETU) participated in the scientific seminar "Orientation for Training and Developing Green Transportation." The event gathered leading automotive experts and representatives from colleges and universities across and beyond the province.
At the seminar, participants presented and discussed practical topics such as training for green vehicles to meet NETZERO 2050 goals, trends in the development of electric and smart vehicles in Vietnam—orienting workforce training, the role of fuel cell electric vehicles in the future transportation system, university-enterprise cooperation models in developing green transportation, green transportation strategies based on applying Idling Stop technology to old motorbikes, and various other directions for green transportation development.

In the presentation "Trends in the Development of Electric and Smart Vehicles in Vietnam—Workforce Training Orientation," Associate Professor.PhD. Nguyen Phu Thuong Luu, Acting Head of the Faculty of Automotive Technology and Engineering at BETU, analyzed the rapid growth of the electric and smart vehicle industry. He highlighted the challenges and opportunities in developing and adopting these types of vehicles in Vietnam. Furthermore, he outlined strategies and orientations for equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the evolving demands of the automotive industry in the modern era.

BETU's Faculty of Automotive Technology and Engineering contributed four presentations to this year’s seminar, focusing on solutions for green transportation development to address the urgent needs of the transportation sector.
The seminar aimed to identify solutions and policies for green transportation development to protect the environment, reduce air pollution, and promote a green economy. It also sought to provide training orientations for universities and colleges, helping supply a technically skilled workforce to meet the developmental needs of green transportation.
